Winter warmer gifts

As winter closes in, wrap up warm with handwoven textiles. MADE MAKERS exhibitors pay careful attention to detail and use high quality materials, designed to last.

Here are a few of our textile designers and makers, each offering something completely unique: perfect for gift giving.

Chelache Knits

“Each one of our hand-knitted cushions is a one off; a mini, soft and squidgy work of art in its own right. We’ll be launching some new ones during MADE Makers or visitors can commission bespoke colours / sizes to match their interiors. Our very newest creations are inspired by the works of Egon Schiele, Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, Henri Rousseau and David Hockney. We’re also launching one-off knitted men’s ties; a unique and stylish gift for the guys.”

Bonita Ahuja

“I will exhibit handwoven and hand embroidered shawls, scarves, screens and textile collages. I love the simplicity of folk textiles and cultures. Materials with depth and character and a juxtaposition of the old with the new.”

Charlotte Grierson

“I have ranges of hand-woven scarves that I have woven in my London studio. These scarves are individual scarves; one offs. And over the last two years I have been working on wall hung artwork. These are woven compositions stretched over deep canvases and playing with repeating shapes and layering colour stripes in warp and weft.”

Sally Weatherill

“I have new scarf and wrist warmer designs which aren’t currently in my online shop, that I will show exclusively to MADE MAKERS. As I am spending less time in London at the moment I am taking more inspiration from the Essex countryside.”

SUK

“Winter is approaching! We are focusing on comfort – new masks with naturally antibacterial bamboo padding, luxurious silk stretchable loungewear and a range of scarves in 100% wool, wool & cashmere, and all-season silk scarves. I focus on choosing more sustainable materials and methods to create new products.”

MADE MAKERS November goes live from 7pm Thursday 5th – Sunday 8th November.
