Inspired by the natural colours and textures of the earth, I make quiet, tactile, minimal style tableware and homeware in black stoneware and porcelain.
Using a combination of handbuilding and slip casting, the pieces are fired with no glaze on the outside so that the feel of the natural, fired clay can be appreciated. I hope that connection brings an opportunity to pause, breathe and savour a small moment in the hustle and bustle of life.

- Info Black Stoneware Mugs Handmade black stoneware Regular size mug. Holds about 260ml. Bare clay on the outside finished to a velvet matt. The inside and handle are glazed. There is a choice of finishes. Select from finished with an individual handmade makers mark or plain with an overglazed handle. Approx 9.5cm diam x 7.5cm tall. Available in other sizes.

New for 2021. Porcelain Mug finished in a delicately speckled white. Bare porcelain clay exterior finished to a silky shimmer, the inside is glazed in a glossy white with gentle brown black speckles. Available in a choice of two finishes. Also available in Buttermilk. A Regular size mug holds about 275ml. Approx 9cm diam x 7.5cm high.

Black Stoneware Serving bowls and dishes. Glazed on the inside, left bare on the outside.The small and medium sizes are Ideal as soup, pasta or salad bowls and all are suitable as serving dishes.
